Retail & commerce · Paris
Renovation and fit-out of boutiques, concept stores and commercial spaces — with the obsession for detail that won over Dior, Étam and Newcop, and schedules that respect your revenue.
Why W.A.R.D
Every day of closure costs revenue. Phasing, night-time works, just-in-time delivery: 300 m² refreshed in 1 month for Livy (Étam group).
Concept-store design, custom furniture, shopfront, lighting — then delivery by our works division. One contract, one responsible party, one successful opening.
Working for Dior demands a level of finish, discretion and reliability that every one of our retail clients then benefits from.
Retail references
A closed boutique does not sell. That is the fact that structures our entire retail method: phased works to keep trading wherever possible, night-time and out-of-hours interventions, supplies secured before the first hammer blow, and an opening date treated as a commitment — not an estimate. This is how the Livy boutique (Étam group), 300 m², was refreshed in one month, and how the Stellar jewellery boutique reopened its 40 m² showcase within the same timeframe.
You have just signed your commercial lease: every week now counts. We take the unit as a shell or in its previous concept, and we deliver a boutique ready to open — architecture, design, custom furniture, shopfront, lighting, then the complete execution. That is the journey of the Newcop boutique: 110 m² designed and delivered in 3 months for its opening, under a single contract.
Between two seasons, before a launch, at a concept's mid-life: floors, paintwork, lighting and furniture reworked in a few weeks, without touching the fundamentals. The ideal intervention between January and February or in the summer lull — we build the schedule around your trading calendar, not the other way round.
A new concept, new guidelines, a move upmarket: repositioning touches the very identity of the point of sale. We then work hand in hand with your retail teams and your creative direction — respect for the brand book, down to the last piece of hardware, is one of the standards we learnt alongside the greatest houses, including Dior, for whom we fitted out 380 m² of offices under the strictest confidentiality.
Retail expertise extends naturally to demanding workspaces: our 210 m² ERP5 medical office (4 months, 11 artisans, open to the public) and the 270 m² workplace delivered in design & build are the proof. Accessibility, fire safety, declarations: the standards for premises open to the public are our daily routine.
A single contract, an opening date kept. As a general contractor, we coordinate the sixteen trades under one responsibility, covered by €5,000,000 ten-year warranty insurance. Your point of contact knows your opening date — and keeps it.
The site audit first — condition of the existing unit, networks, constraints of the lease and the co-ownership rules, applicable standards: one day on site is often enough to frame what is possible. Then the design: the concept, the plans, the furniture, the lighting and a complete costing, approved with your teams. The single contract fixes the price and the opening date. The execution sequences the trades without dead time — that is where the weeks are won —, and the handover comes as your merchandising is installed: you open, we clear the last reservations in parallel. At every step, a single point of contact who knows your trading calendar and builds the schedule around it.
The budget for a boutique renovation depends less on floor area than on four factors: the condition of the unit at lease signature (a former food shop does not convert like a new shell), the level of the concept — from a brand refresh to a flagship with fully drawn furniture —, the share of custom work (counters, displays, interior showcases), and the site's constraints: night-time works, protected district, co-ownership. Rather than a theoretical grid, we prefer a real costing: after the site audit, you receive a budget item by item, committed in the contract — not an estimate that swells along the way.
Opening or renovating a boutique in Paris means working within a dense, regulated commercial landscape: the luxury avenues where the building's charter weighs as much as the brand's, the Marais and its protected districts where every shopfront passes before the Architectes des Bâtiments de France, the neighbourhood shopping streets where logistics — deliveries, neighbours, hours — decide the schedule as much as the works themselves. We operate across Paris and the Île-de-France, with the reflexes that come from openings delivered in these contexts: anticipating planning and signage permits from the design stage, securing delivery slots, protecting common areas, and keeping a discreet site — because a brand is also judged on the conduct of its works.
